GROX's robot warrior

Grox was a brilliant inventor who lived in a futuristic, block-shaped laboratory. He loved making things, especially big, powerful things. His newest project was the biggest yet: a giant warrior robot! Grox wanted it to look just like his favorite video game character—a big, blocky man. "Almost done, Block-Bot!" Grox cheered, wiping sweat from his brow. The robot was huge, taller than Grox's house, and made of strong, green metal blocks. So far, it had a head, a body, and one giant, square arm. Grox needed to finish the other arm and the legs. He worked day and night, humming a happy tune. He knew this robot would be the best protector ever!

Grox was busy attaching the second arm to Block-Bot when his alarm system suddenly blared. *BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!* Grox jumped. "What is that?" He looked at his small, blinking radar screen. It showed many red dots moving quickly toward his lab. Grox peered out the window. The sun was setting, casting long shadows. Then he saw them. They were zombies! Not the slow, silly kind, but fast, blocky zombies with glowing red eyes. They were shuffling and groaning, heading straight for his home. Grox gasped. "Oh no! They're attacking! I need to finish Block-Bot, and fast!"

The zombies were getting closer. Grox could hear their low, spooky groans outside. He had to work faster than ever before. He grabbed the first giant leg. It was heavy and made of solid steel blocks. Grox used his super-powered magnetic crane to lift it into place. *CLANG!* He quickly welded it tight. "One leg down, one to go!" he shouted over the noise of the approaching zombies. He looked at the clock. Only five minutes until the zombies reached the lab door. Grox knew he couldn't fight them alone. Block-Bot was his only hope.

The zombies were pounding on the door! *BAM! BAM!* The metal door groaned under the force. Grox dropped to the floor, working on the last leg's power connection. This was the most important part. If the wires weren't connected right, Block-Bot wouldn't move. Grox's hands were shaking, but he focused hard. He pushed the final blue wire into the socket. *CLICK!* Just as he finished, the door burst open! Three blocky zombies stumbled into the lab, their red eyes fixed on Grox.

Grox didn't panic. He scrambled back and hit the big red power button on his remote control. "Wake up, Block-Bot!" he yelled. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, a deep, mechanical whirring sound filled the room. Block-Bot's blocky body started to glow. Its eyes flashed bright blue! The giant robot slowly looked down at the three zombies. The zombies stopped groaning and looked up, surprised by the massive machine. Block-Bot took one giant, heavy step forward. *THUD!* The floor shook. The zombies stumbled back, scared of the giant warrior.

Block-Bot was amazing! Grox used his remote control to guide the robot. "Block-Bot, use the big block punch!" Grox commanded. The robot swung its giant square arm, sending the first wave of zombies tumbling back outside. The rest of the zombie horde saw the giant robot and started to run away, groaning in fear. Block-Bot stood tall, a true blocky warrior, protecting Grox and his lab. Grox cheered loudly. He had finished the robot just in time! He learned that even when things look impossible, working hard and never giving up can save the day. Grox smiled. His Block-Bot was the best robot warrior ever!
